THE CITY COUNCIL!
The Treasurer’s report shows, a balance on hand in the Light fund of $2,808.12, in the Water fund of $286.20, in the road fund of $513.44 and in the corporation fund of 5156.20. In the corporation fund however, there are more warrants outstanding than the balance on hand will pay. Superintendent Chamberlain was directed to purchase a mercury arc rectifier at a cost of SBS, to be of service in charging the ignition batteries of automobiles, by whic it is believed the city can earn a few honest dollars. Anyhow it will be good fofhthe Buto owners. The superintendent was also ordered to purchase three valves to attach to the street hydrants most patronized by the street sprinkler, to save the wearing out of the nipples attached to the hydrants. The clerk was instructed to charge one dollar per month extra to light users for each all night lamp run in excess of the number they are entitled to which is one night light for each five lamps used. The Marshal was instructed to re move all obstructions from streets and sidewalks, so as to permit an unobstructed passage over and along the same. Various side walks and sewer matters were acted upon, but of no interest except to the parties concerned.
