For An Old Home Week.

Some of our citizens and more especially Mayor Ellis, have expressed a desire to 'have an “Old Home Week” iu Jasper county this year, with its headquarters in Rens selaer, with invitations sent out to all parts of this and adjoining nations, to our former residents to come back and stay a week with old friends and old scenes. Of course it would be a necessary feature to prepare entertainment for them, as well as our home people, in the way of shows and other entertaining features. We have an idea that there are pretty nearly as many Jasperites now living in other states and in other counties of this state, as there are left in the county itself, and they surely ought to be invited to come back to the old county once in a while, and as everybody is now prosperous, it would seem that this is the year to invite them. Along about the far end of August or the near end of September, would be the proper time for it.
