The body df Miss Ida A. Cooper was found in a creek at Norwalk, Ohio. It is believed she committed suicide. A communication has been banded to the Sultan of Morocco by the foreign representatives urging that the slave trad# in Morocco be stopped. The entire apportionment of legislative districts made by the last New York Legislature is overthrown as unconstitutional and void by the Court of Appeals. Every member of the grand jury in ths Circuit Court at Rolling Fork, Miss., indicted himself for violating the Sunday liquor law and each appeared before Judge Booth and was fined $lO. A petition for a writ of habeas corpus was filed at St. Louis in the United States Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of George W. Kirkmnn, formerly captain of the Twenty-fifth Unitwl States infantry, who is now serving a two-year sentence in the penitentiary at Fort Leavenworth. An explosion in the plant of the Baird Machinery Company. Pittsburg, set fire to the building and the flames spread to the Siinmonds Manufacturing Company, Brown & Zortman Machinery Company and a number of small dwellings, all of which were burned.
