Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 39, Number 64, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 16 April 1907 — "Heaping Coals.” [ARTICLE]
"Heaping Coals.”
The Lafayette Journal was one of the papers which most bitterly assailed Gov. Hanly for being faithless to his friends, but in the face of this the governor has appointed Mrs. W. B. Wilson, wife of the editor of that paper, to a responsible position on the board of trustees of the woman's prison. At least in this matter it cannot be charged that the governor is vindictive toward his enemies. Perhaps he wants to try the effect of heaping a few hot coals. At all events it is conceded that Mrs. Wilson is admirably fitted for the work assigned her.—Crawfordsville Journal.
