Moffit Dredge Burned.

The steam dredge working in the Moffitditch, northwest ot Fair Oaks took fire and was destroyed, Monday night. It belonged to Bruce Moffit, the original contractor of the ditch, but was being operated by Gundrum & Co., the second contractors, under a lease. The dredge was estimated to be worth $4,000, and there was no insurance. Whether the machinery on the dredge is so badly damaged as to be a total loss remains to be seen. A new boiler was placed on it only a short time ago.
