A Lost Boy la Barkley.

Barkley township had a lost child excitement Thursday, and which caused great excitment in . the vicinity of the Barkley- M. E. church, as we'l as great distress to the parents, until it was over: The little three year old son of Mr, and Mrs. John Maxwell strayed lrom home about 9 A.. M . and with the help ot all the surrounding neighbors they searched woods, pastures, barns, sheds, brush heaps and everything in which u child might l>e concealed. On the road south Iroui the chtjrch was found a chain with which the child had been playing that morning, also tracks were seen showing he had strayed farther south The full force ot hu«ters turned their energies in that direction, and about 1:10 o'clock he was found in a large wooded pasture on Mrs. Barkley’s farm, by B nuie HansoD the thirteen year old son ol Ben Hanson, a former resident of Barkley. The child was a ball a mile lioni the road and about two miles from his home. ■
