After two quarts of Anderson’s blood had . flowed into his wife's arteries the tube was removed and the wounds of both patients dressed. Anderson wept with joy when he came from under the influence of the ether and saw liis wife restored to consciousness and strength.

The sergeant in charge of the Fnited States marine station that has been located in Columbus, Ohio, for several months, has announced that there will he no more business done in the city.
