Some Building Notes.

Abe Long staked oat the foundations for his new lesidence on River street this, Tuesday morning. It will cost right around $5,000, and be the best nouse built in Rensselaer for a number of years. Beit Hopper has the contract. Fred Tyler broke ground today for his new house at the corner vs of Weston and Cornelia streets. It will be a good seven room hou«e, besides hall, bath etc. It ought to be a safe conclusion that Fred vas contemplating matrimony on the completion of this building, bu sad to say it is not so, aud he is ready to sign a lease for it before night Lee Jessup has _the contract. L. J. Lane of Milroy has a new $3 000 house already enclosed It is probably the best house in that townsl i». Mrs. Adda Yates will extensively enlarge and remodel her residence on Front street this spring, including two new rooms, [a porch and other improvements. The George McCarty residence on Elm street is also to be largely increased and remodled, and fitted with all the modern improvements, being done at the expense of the capable and successful daughters, who are prospering so finally in their profession of trained nurses. Contractor Lee Jessup, who recently sold his residence property in the southeast part of town to A. G. W. Farmer of Milroy tp., expects to build himself anotuer house some time this summer, provided he can get a chance between jobs for other people. He will Ibuild an all cement block residence on lots near the house he just sold. This will be the first cement residence in Rensselaer, altho they are quite frequently being built at other places.
