Inter Reuben Looks Good At Crown Point

Crown Point Star: Mr. Infield met with the town board at a special meeting Monday evening, when much talk was indulged in regarding the route to take the cars this place. In fact it ended in talk, to be taken up again on Monday evening of next week. There is no opposition. Our .people wa:«t the road and the road wants to come, and (he Trustees want to give them a franchise. The matter seems to be between Main and Jacksons stieets amt somehow some of the people are like the fellow who said the 1 est place to have a boil is on your neighbor. They would a little rather have it on the next street to them, but it is thought by next week the question will be solved and tne franchise given. The road much prefers the Jackson street route. Mr. Enfield, the promoter of the interurban railway from Lafayette, this state, to Chicago, was here on Monday in session with the town authorities and it seems now that there are no great obstacles left in the way. They have had the best oi luck in receiving right-of-way all south anu east of this point, and with a little mure work in that direction he believes the capital can be readily secured and that real wopk of grading will soon start. The project looks very sunny now—looking better than at any other time before. Mr. Enfield is leaving no stones unturned, and utilizes every moment in working fur the interest of the road. If perseverance counts he will certainly be rewarded.
