Fought Under “Bobs.”

Mr. Jas. Pirie of Monon township was among the Herald’S cfilers last week. He is a. typical Scotchman and served under “Bobs” in the Afghanistan! war. He was also a neighbor of Sir Thomas Gladstone and was in his employ for two years on his farm in Aberdeenshire. Though now a loyal American citizen, he thinks this country could still take some pointers on government from Great Britain with advantage, especially in the enforcement of law.
