HAMNONDS WERE EASY VICTIMS.
The high school basket ball team again defeated their traditional enemies, the Hammond high school at the armory last night to the tune of 28 to 2. The Hammond team ptitup a game fight and with a little more practice they could give our team a hard tussel. The home team played brilliantly as a team and as individuals, their superior team work enabling them to keep the ball in Hammonds’s territory, most of the time. The individual work of the members of our team was very good; and in fact ic would be a hard matter to tell who played the best game. Casey apA Fendie the guards, were there with the goods all the time, Laßue and Brusnahan, the forwards, had their eyes on the baskets all the time and rarely missed a throw, and Jessen and Robinson as centers played brilliantly keeping the ball in the enemies country most of time*. The line-up was as follows: E. Meikle r f Bel Laßue I C .rter 1 f Clara Brusnahan A. Hess c Clara Jesson L. Smith 2 c Grace Robinson B. Ripley r g Ella Casey, capt G. Bauers, capt 1 g Edna Fendig. Referee Ervin, Umpire Woodworth. There was a good sized crowd present, enthusiastic but friendly. After the game a little dance was given in honor of the visiting players and their friends in the Armory. The visitors have, in fact no grounds for complaining of lack ot hospitality, for they were treated a good deal better than any of our teams have ever been when they went to Hammond,
