Against Free Lunches.

No more will the shiftless men gather around the free lunch counter and enjoy a square meal with a mng of beer—that is, if a bill which is to be introduced by Senator Mock becomes a law. This measure will strike a body blow at the free lunch counter, and it is said that it is backed by both the temperance people and the saloon intercets. The temperance people believe that the opportunity to get nice sandwiches and other accessories of a lunch free of charge induces many men to go into a saloon who would otherwise remain away. The saloon men on the other hand objeot to patting up a first class meal and get nothing out of it bnt the profit on one glass of beer.
