Twenty-one Years in Prison.
Harry Davis, accused of assault on Essa Burkett, sixteen years old an orphau, was found guilty by a jury at Logansport, waich recommended two years’ imprisonment. Jndge Lairy thereupon instructed the jury to return a different verdict saying that the assaults on women, of which four have recently been recorded in Logansport, must stop, and when the jury had complied with the instructions of the judge, was sentenced to twenty-one years’ imprisonment. Three of the attacks on women were committed within a week.
