Prominent Method st Minister Suspended.

The committee, of which A. W. Wood was a member, conducting the investigation of charges against the Rev. H. G. Amhyrst, of West Lafayette, at a late hour Tuesday rendered a verdict suspending him from the ministry and the privileges of the chnrch until the annual meeting of the conference at Greencastle in September. He was charged with dishonesty, embezzlement and falsehood. The inquiry is in no sense a trial of the accused pastor. The trial, if held, must be condncted by the conference itself! The conclusions of the committee in connection with the protest submitted by Dr. Amhyrst will be submitted to Bishop Hamilton, and if sustained, he will select thirteen members of the conference to review the case.
