Well fixed For Great-Grandmas.

Mil and Mrs. Vernon 1 18 month old baby which took the prize in the 9 to 18 months old class at the baby show here last Saturday, is not only the prettiest in her class in Jasper Co, but has another claim to distinction in that she has probably more great-grandmoth ers living than any other baby in Indiana. All four of her greatgrandmothers are living, and one of her great great grandmothers. The latter is Mrs. Lucinda Antrim, now Rensselaer’s probably oldest resident, she having passed her 91st birthday last October. The j four great grandmothers are Mrs. Rachel Scott, Mrs. Frances Hamm, Mrs. Schock and Mrs. McGinnis. Among this multiplicity of greatgrandmothers it is notable that neither of her grandmothers sur-1 vive, nor any of her male grand ! parents of any generation except one grandfather. So pretty a baby with so many female ancestors would also naturally be supposed to be swarming with aunts aud uncles, but as a matter of fact she has only two aunts and two uncles. .
