Will Investigate Indiana Water Supply.
Representative Overstreet is lending his irfluence to obtain cooperation between the State of Indiana and the Federal Government Tn a thoro investigation of the natural water supply of Indiana. The United State Geological Survey is anxious to make au investigation for the purpose of determining the amount and character of the water in the streams of the State, the damage caused by sewage and ndustrial pollution, and to conduct an injury as to the best methods of utilizing the water resources. The' Federal Government stands ready, to expend on this work an amount eqnal to that appropriated by the State. It is the hope of the Geological Survey that the State Legislature will set aside from *3.000 to *5,000 as its share of the probable cost of investigation.
