Better Cars On The Monou.
The traveling public using the Monob railroad will be glad to know that in the near future every passenger coach on the road will be in the best of condition. Some time ago John Priest, traveling passenger agent, took up the matter with F. J. Reed, general passenger agent, and advised that all second class coaches now being handled on the local passenger trains be taken out of service and run into the shops and given a taoro overhauling by cleaning, painting and varnishing inside and out. Reseating and new lamps were also a feature of his request. Yesterday Mr. Priest received a letter commending him for his suggestion aud advising him that all second class coaches will be taken oat of service as fast as possible and ran in lor a general overhauling. Mr. Prieet says that the passenger department is in hopes of having all of the special train service for 1907 equal to the daily train service, air. Priest appears tprbe the right man in the right place and his whole aim is to cater to the wants and comfort of the traveling public.-Lafayette Courier.
