Jibe at American Women.

Prof. J. Lawrence Laugh!in (if Chicago university has stirred up a hornet's nest by the following remarks to his class in political economy: “The wiggling,. swaying movements of American women on the streets and the stage have made them the ridicule of Europe. They have a glide and a wiggle that make them both undignified and ungraceful. American women live too much in a state of slouehiness in dress, manner, intellect and language. What we need is a sense of form. It is something that is very scarce aniopg American women. It is indeed the rarest sense there is in the country.”
