Loogcliff Asylnm Filled.
There are now 858 patients, about fche'full capacity, confined at Longcliff hospital, about the same number as were confined there two years ago, not including the eighty or more at home on furlough. Of the 858 inmates now in the hospital 448 are men .and 410 women. The mortality record is lower than ever before and the general health of the institution is reported excellent. There have been two suicides there in two years. The regular appropriation asked of the legislature is for maintenance, $135,000 per year, which is 8150 for each patient. The two new buildings for tients will be completed within the next six months and then all patients awaiting admission, of which .there are now thirty or forty, can be accommodated and there will be room for about 130 more.
