A Surprise On The Old Folks.
There was a quiet little wedding which was also a little wedding on the quiet, in town Tuesday evening, at eight o’clock, at the home of the officiating minister, Rev. H L. Kindig, pastor of Trinity M. E. church. The parties were a a oung couple one of whom lives at Seymour, Brown county and the other lately came from there. The groom was Mr. Alexander C. Harvey, of Seymour, but lately a student in a biblical institute at Cincinnati, but who has temporarily abandoned his studies because ot a severe spell of sickness recently experienced. His bride is Miss Lucy Cox, daughter of Oscar Cox, who lately came from Brown county to work on the gravel and stune roads, and now lives in the residence at the stock farm. The young couple had been engaged for some time, and Mr. Harvey came up to visit his intended bride, and Tuesday evening they quietly procured a licenses and then repaired to Rev. Kindig’s where they were married, without having given any hint to the bride’s parents that their marriage was contemplated at this time. There was no parental objection to the nniou however, and the secrecy was merely to work a little surprise on the bride’s family.
