About Live Stock Killed By Dogs.

There is one important provision in the law providing payment by township trustees tor sheep or other live stock, and fowls killed or damaged by dogs, which the trustees say is not generally understood. It is that the owners of such stock must report the damage within ten days from the time of its occurence. The report must be made to the trustee, and the number aud kind of stock or fowls killed or damaged must be reported and the report sworn to and two disinterested parties must join in the report. The law does not state specifically that unless the claim is made within the ten days time no damages shall bejpaid, but itfwould be a question whether the Trustee could lawfully pay claims for losses not reported within the time specified. r
