W. F. Granger, of Keener Tp., was granted a saloon license in Kersey, and Wm. Ballenger, of Walker Tp, one for Kniman. There was no opposition in either case. 8. L Luce was given the contracts for two new bridges over the Hodges ditch, in Wheatfield Tp., for $1,939.20; and the Pan America r, was contracted with lor one i n Jordan Tp., for $1,267. Sternberg & Sous were given an extension of one year of their time for finishing the rock work in the Iroquois ditch. Notice of au election was ordered published for a big system of stone roads in Remington and Carpenter township, and which proposed system has already been viewed and favorably reported upon, by an engineer and viewers.
