McCoy Cases Heard From Again.
A press dispatch from Monticello to the Indianapolis Star: At the present term of the White Circuit Court the fifteen additional indictments agaist Alfred McCoy and Thomas J. McCoy will come up for hearing, and just what will become of them is a matter of conjecture. Special Judge Farber of Frankfort will be here about Sept. 18 and make some disposition of the cases. While it is thought a compromise will be reached, whereby the McCoys will plead guilty to some of the indictments and the others will be dismissed and the cases closed up, yet no one can say exactly what will be done. Attorneys E. B. Sellers, who was employed by Jasper County to prosecution the McCoys, has recovered from his recent illness and can attend to his duties in court When asked what disposition would made of the case, he said that it was impossible for him to tell at this time and that nothing would be done until Special Judge Farber comes to Monticello to hear the cases.
