Rensselaer Had A Cold August!

The state weather report for August, prepared by the central weather bureau station at Indianapolis, is just out "and it gives the somewhat surprising information that Rensselaer, though not the coolest place in the state that month was at least the eoolest compared with its average or normal temperature for Xugust. The whole state was hotter this last August than the average for that month except Rensselaer, which was one tenth of a degree colder than its average There was so much very uncomfortably hot weather here last month that most people would not have been much surprised to learn that the average was much higher than the normal, and hence the official statement now that it was actually cooler than the normal, is somewhat astonishing. However, much of the month seemed much hotter than it really was,| owing to its excessively damp atmosphere, that prevailed so much of the time.
