Goes to Prison at 70.

The gates-of the state prison at’ Michigan City opened a few days ago for the adsnission of a unique i figure in the .criminal annals of Indiana. He is Mat t Shockley and he was sentenced in Randolp county for horse'steaUng. He is now 70 years old and w&ore than half of his life has been spent in prison. He is to serve from one to fourteen years, and it is more than likely that this will be his Last term,--for he stands little chance of being paroled, and before his sentence expires will probably have passed into the beyond.
