DEATH OF MRS. LEWIS DAVISSON.
The death of Mrs. Lewis Daviscon occured at 9 o’clock last Wednesday morning at the family residence on south Weston street. She had been in poor health for several months from an organic heart trouble, and this with other complications caused her death. The maiden - name of deceased was Hepsabeth Haines. She was born in Logan connty, Ohio, November 3, 1831, and would have been 75 years of age on November 3rd, of this year. In 1852 she removed with her parents to Jasper county, Indiana, where on March 27, 1853, she was married to Lewis Davisson. To their union weie born ten children, seven of whom and the husband twelve grandchildren and four great grand , children survive. All the living children are residents of Jasper county aud all were gathered at the family residence shortly after her death occured. Their names are, Hannah who resided at home Mrs. Mary E. Galbraith, George W., Amos, Grant, Harvey and Josiah. With the exception of about eighteen years that they resided in Warren county, deceased had lived in Jasper county continuously since her marriage fifty-three years ago last March. During ten years of this time the family lived in Union township. For the past ten years they have resided in Rensselaer. , The funeral will be held Friday morning at 10;30 o’clock at the M. E. church. Rev. H. L. Kindig conducting the service. Interment at the Prater cemetery in Barkley township.
