The New Route Woo.
There was something of a contest on Wednesday before the County Council, over the matter of a road from DeMotte to Hebron, as already described in this paper. The new and direct route won and the Council voted the appropriation for that line. They appropriated $4,000 for the grade and SI,OOO for bridges, which includes the small bridges on the grade and Jasper count y’B share of a new bridge over the Kankakee river. Four of Hebron’sleading citizens came down in an automobile to alk for the new route. They were George Gragg, an attorney George Gidley a dredge man, Mel Morrow, the postmaster and Mr. Davis the township trustee.
