A Big Automobile Wreck.

One ofyour town physicians was called over into the edge county last Saturday morning, to give medical attention to Miss Nora Bringle, daughter of Jesse Bringle, and one of the teachers of Newton county. Miss Bringle was the worse hurt in an automobile accident, which oecured in Kentland Friday evening. The Teachers Institute has been in progress there this week, and the couuty superintendent conceived the idea of giving the teachers an automobile ride. He gathered up six antoes, and one of these was a’hig and fine $3,060 machine be longing to Mr, McCray the banker and '“grain merchant. Young Wildasin, son of the ex-sheriff, was driving this machine and in it were Miss Bringle and another youDg lady, and still another young man,. They were bosvling along at a merry gait and only a short distance behind another machine.The leading machine suddenly turned off on another road, and Wildasin, in trying to avoid iun ning into the head auto, turned to one side and run full tilt into a tree. Both young men were scatter ed wildly over the landscape, but not hurt beyond some bruises. Miss Bringle and the other young lady were not thrown out, but re mained on the auto• Both were brusied about the shoulders and Miss Bringle has one of her knees badly sprained and bruised. The iniury will keep her out of her school for three weeks. The automobile is said to be a total wreck, and clear beyond re pair There is some scratching of heads over the question as to whom the loss of the machine will fall upon.
