Tanksley Released on Bond, Charged With Desertion.

Bedford, Ind., Aug. 28.—Ernest Tranksley, defendantin an attempt to unravel the mystery of the Sarah Schafer murder, was released from jail last evening on a SSOO bond provided by his mother and a friend. The only charge on which Tanksley can be tried at the present time m this county is that of wife desertion, while another charge, that of illegal relations with the Rainey girl, will have to be tried in Evansville, in case the state chooses to press it. Tanksley avows a purpose of going to work here, and has no fear that the grand jury will implicate him in the Schafer murder. Tanksley left with his mother for her little farm near Heltonville.
