A Methodist Centennial
The Methodists of CharlestowD, Ind., are preparing to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the dedication ot the first Methodist church in Indiana. The building a email log structure, is still carefully pre served, though somewhat dilapidated, on its original site, at Charlestown. In general appearance it resembled other log cabins, and as far as any attempt at church architec tares, is concerned it might as well have served for a jail as for a church. It dates back to a period long before the advent in Indiana of stone walls, frescoed ceilings, stained glass windows and lofty spires. It was a most insignificant structure in appearance, hut its erection was an event of historic importance, as being the beginning of great things.
