Eight-Hour Day for Southerif Pacific
Freight conductors and brakemen in the employ of the Southern Pacific railway system have prepared a new pay and working schedule, which has been unanimously approved by the order of railway conductors, and which will be submitted to officials of the road, with sixty days in which to consider it. The new arrangement provides for an eight-hour work day to supersede the ten, twelve and thirteen hour days now in practice on the roag. An advance 4b-wages4a also asked.
