The County Teachers’ Institute.

The Jasper County Teachers’ Institute will begin next Monday, August 27 th,and continue for five days, and will be held in the auditorium of the public library here. Superintendent Hamilton has, as usual, gecurod some very promising talent for his instructors, though perhaps the word promising is scarcely the right one for some ot them, as they have already been here before in the same capacity, and have fully demonstrated their abilities. They are Prof. Emma Mont Me Rae, of Purdue University, who will have the subject of Literature; Prof. A. W. Dunn, of Indianapolis high schools, whose subjects will be .Geography and History; and Prof. Cozine, who will have charge of the music. President E. H. Hughes of Du Pauw University, will deliver pub lie lectures Thursday afternoon and evening. The annual county oratorical contest will be held on Wednesday afternoon,at eight o’clock. A joint preliminary township institute for all the townships, will be held Saturday Sept. Ist, from 9 30 a. m. to 3 p. m.
