FIND BRUCE AND THE BIG FISH.

* Bruce and Baldy got back from a two days stay at the’river, Thursdt y night, and with a string of pickerel which has set all the other fishers in town wild with envy. One of them, especially is such a great big stall fed specimen that it is declar* ed to be an actual fact, that roasts and steaks and boiling pieces could be cut out of his front and hind quarters just like any good beef critter. He weighed 12i pounds, and the one next in size weighed 8i pounds. They caught eight pickerel in all, and all good big fish. They did not try to catch any other kind of fish. It was an exceptionally lucky catch, as the pickerel seem to be staying pretty close in the deep water these days, ud they bite but rarely and are mighty choicy as to what they bite on. These particular ones were caught by a squirrel-tail bait, after they had respectfully but firmly declined all offers of fat minnows, frogs, artificial flies etc.
