SUIT AGAINST A RAILROAD

Charles and William Hoile, of Kniman, have begun suit in the circuit court against the Chicago & Eastern Illinois Railroad Company. Their complaint alleges that on or about Sqpt. sth, 1905, they loaded a threshing machine outfit on the carsatKniman to be shipped to Carrington, N. Dak. That it was .an old sway-backed car, too old and weak to haul a big threshing machine clear to Dakota on, and when the car reached Chicago the connecting lines refused to accept the car in the shape it was in and it was side-tracked for many days and never reached Carrington until .Sept 25th, when it should have been there bysthe 10th. By this delay they lost the best -of the threshing .season, as the jobs they had contracted to do were given to other threshers. They demand damages for freight and passenger sane expenses, their lost time and lost business, for lost attachments to their machine and various other items, the demand in all being for 91,500.
