No New Township Made.
The County Commissioners made their decision in the matter of either a removal of the voting place or a division of Walker township, late Tuesday afternoon. The matter started by a move to have the vot ing plaee ehanged from Kniman, in the west part and the only considerable village in the township, over to some more centrally -located, lut otherwise less desirab’e plave nearer the center of the township. This movement on the part of the residents of the east part was followed by the counter proposal for a new township, from the west half. The division as proposed would have made two nicely shaped townships, but it would also have left two or three school houses right < n township lines, and would also have disturbed existing gravel road, arrangements, besides which the the i e>ple of the proposed new east township claimed that much of the region was too poor and sparsely settled : s yet, tojbe well fixed for supporting a townshiplgovernmen*. Therefore the Commissioners decided to leave matteas just as they have been, with no new township and no change in voting place.
