for Selling to A Minor.
■ Saturday afternoon a party of three young fellow from up about Newland got on a big toot here, one of tiiem being Arthur Craig, Who says he is only 18 years old, though big enough to be older. He was very annoying and abusive at Christie Vick’s store and Christie steered him up into Squire Irwin’s place. For a time he refused to say where he had got liquor, but finally said he had bought four oeers, two as he claimed from Frank Kennell, one of Striekfaden’s bar tenders, and the same number of Billy McCord, his other bartender, showing in this an evident desire to divide his valuable patronage evenly. He also said he he bought some whiskies of Fritz Macklainberg in Cooney’s place, and some more beers at Hildebrand’s. It was claimed that he told Cooney’s man that he was 21 years old. He filed an affidavit against Kennell, who came up and had the case continued until this Monday, morning at 11 o’clock. At the time set Frank .came up and plead guilty, and the minimum fine of S2O and cost, $29.40 in all, was assessed.
