Wants a "Home-Ceming."
Secretary Charles Dowiugofthe State Board of Agriculture proposes a “home coming” week for Indiana people who have strayed from the boundaiies of the State.) “The Kentucky ‘home-coming’ was so successful” said Secretary Downing, “that I am sure we could have one herein Indiana.” The secretary talked the matter over with Sid Conger, a member of the Board, andjMr. Conger became enthused. “My idea,” said Secretary Downing, “would be to have the ‘home-coming’ during the State Fair. . The railroads give low rates during lair week, and with the ‘home-coming’ event on at the same time we could no doubt get a better rate. The fair board would, of course, take an an active interest in it.”
