Knowlton’s Road Revived.

The new road projected from the northern part of the State to Indi inapolis follows the right-of-way of the former projected Indianapolis a-d Chicago Air Line. A traction company has revived and has changed the name to the Indiana, Ohio & Illinois Railroad and J. W. Aiderman of this city is jresideut of the new company. There is much interest taken along the proposed line of right of-way, and some have paid money to assist in the survey. Those interested aie much encouraged over the pros peets that the road will be built. — Indianapolis Star.

The road above referred to is one which attracted considerable atten tion, a year or so ago. It was pro iected by one C. F. Knowlton, aud was to pass through Jasper county in a general northwest and south east direction, touching Gillam, Walker, Wheatfield and Keenei townships. Francesville was one of the points on the line, and it wa., s' ated that quite a large amount was raised there, which, presum ably, Knowlton put where it would do the most good—for Knowlton. Of course they will get nothing from the new company for what they gave the old, but if the new company builds them the road, they probably will not sorrow over what Knowlton got away with.
