M. P. Church Dedication.
The Methodist Protestant church here was dedicated, per previous announcement. The opening service was held Friday evening, when Rev. B. F. Ferguson, of the Free Baptist denomination, preached from the subject The World vs the Church. Rev. G. W. Payne, of Monticello preached Saturday evening, on the subject, “ Robbing the Lord.” The dedicatory services, proper, were held Sunday night, by Rev. W. W. Lineberry, of Plymouth, president of this conference. He preached both at the morning and afternoon services, Sunday. At a service held Sunday afternoon, Rev. G. H. Clarke, of the Christian church, made an address. The Rosebud choir furnished music at the Sunday forenoon meeting, and . Mrs. Iva Pullins sang a solo, at the afternoon services. Some $212 was raised at the dedication, towards paying the church debt. The trustees of the church are B. D. J. F. McColly, '* J. N. Timmons and G.
