To Drain the Kankakee.

The annual meeting of the Kankakee Reclamation company was held at LaCrosse Saturday. The meeting was attended by a large number of Porter and Jasper county land owners. The question of extending drainage into these counties was under consideration. Sentiment appears to favor extensive reclamation schemes and this year will likely witness the ’consumma tion of a number of gigantic projects.—Valparaiso Vidette.
