THE STONE ROAD
The election for building the three and a quarter miles of road betweenßensselaer and Remington in Jordan Township, at the joint expense of Marion, Jordan and Carpenter townships, was held Tuesday, and was a very quiet as fair, and drew out a light vote all along the line. As was generally expected, the proposition carried by a very large majority, but there was considerable active opposition, and indeed, a good deal more time spent in working against it than for it. Those who were opposed, were actuated by a variety of reasons, all of which no doubt seemed sufficient to them, and therefore they did right to oppose, accord ing to their light. The following is the vote by precincts, Marion township. - - - .
