Congressional Convention At Lafayette.

The republican county chairmen at Lafayette Monday sel acted Thursday, March Ist, as the time aud Lafayette as the place for hold ing the the congressional nominating convention. Michigan City and Hammond were urged in competition for the convention. The method of selecting the delegates to the convention was left to the various county chairmen, the date for their election fixed oa Tuesday, Feb. 27. Eight of the nine counties of the district were represented and the meeting was as brief as it waa harmonious.
