Total estimated cost, mile $4652.50 Maximum tax per SIOOO.. 36J 'cents It will be seen therefore that the highest possible tax assessment will be thirty-six and one-half cents per sloo® per annum, net valuation on all property within the voting district comprising Marion, Jordan and Carpenter Townships. In other words, the heaviest taxpayer in Rensselaer, with an assessed valuation of $34,000, would pay $12.12 per annum towards the permanent improvement of one of the most important highways in Jasper County. A majority of all votes cast in the three townships "will carry on Feb. 20th, 1906, and no citizen of either Marion, Jordan or Carpenter cap afford to lose this opportunity of eudoising good roads and settling a question that has stood in the way ot improvement for thirty years.
