HRS. REED FINED $1 AND COSTS.
Mrs. Henry Reed was fined $1 and costs amounting to $29.30 in all, on Tuesday morning, on the charge ot assaulting Mrs. Firman Rutherford. The trial took place in the court room, Squire Irwin presiding, Attorney Mose JLeopold prosecnting and Hershman & Hodges defending. It was a jury trial, several witnesses testified and a considerable audience was present to hear thedi amatic details of the fisticuff recounted. So boistrous did the spectators become at times as they were moved to levity by the earnestness of the principals that it almost become necessary to clear the court room of them. The jury remained out only half an hour. It is to be hoped that this will conclude the difficulties for some time existing between these women and that they will like veterans after war return to the peaceable pursuit of life, moulding their lm plements of warfare into table cutlery and kitchen utensils.
