Bad Fire in Gillam Township.
Saturday afternoon between 1 and 2 o’clock the house on Mrs. Albert Parker’s farm in Gillam township, and occupied by Lnther Watson and family was totally destroyed by fire. Mr. Watson had started for town only a half hour before the fire was discovered, and did not learn of it until he reached Eensse laer. .The house was an old one, li stories high and having five rooms. When discovered the fire had con saderable headway and when the doors were opened flames enveloped the entire building, and all of the furniture and clothing and sls in cash was burned. Mrs. Parker had $350 insurance on the house, but Mr. Watson’s loss is- a total one, and as he is a poor man with three small children the misfortune will foil heavily upon him. tlimself and family are for the present stationed at his father’s home on the J. J. Hunt farm in Gillam town snip and some friends are taking up a collection to pnt them into housekeeping again!
