NOTICE; IS HEREBY GIVEN that the petition for the following described improvement was filed with the Auditor <md presented to the Board of rommissierners at their regularSessibtir;'l9os;that an Engineer and Viewers wers appointed as provided by law, and this notice is given to all persons in the said townships of said election and the pendency of the petition and the report of the viewers and the result of the election will all come up for hearing on jtne sth day of March, 1906* '

In the matter of the Stone Road Improvement in the Townships of Carpenter, Jordan and Marion Townships Jasper County, Indiana, by Robert Parker et al petitioners. We, the undersigned viewers, Thomas F. Maloney and Michael J. Delahanty ft Lewis S. Alter as surveyor and engineer, beg leave to make our report, as such Viewers and Engineer and now state that in obedience to the certified order of the Auditor in this cause -fife awed to us, the original of which is filed herewith marked exhibit “A” and made a pa-t hereof; that we met on the 18th day of August 1905 at the Auditors office ana after qualifying as required by law, our respective oaths will be found on the back of said exhibit “A” to which reference is had and that after so qualifying and the engineer having filed his bond as required by law we then proceeded to view, and examine the line of the said proposed improvement as set forth in said order and as-described as follows to-wit: Commencing at the north west corner of the south west quarter of section eighteen (18) in township twenty-eight (28) north, range six (6) west inMarioh Township, Jasper County, Indiana and from thence south to the south welt oorner of the northwest quarter of section six (6)in township twenty seven [27] north, range six [6] west in Carpenter township, Jasper County, Indi-' ana, and that after examining and viewing the said proposed improvement as petitioned for we find that said improvement should be made; that the benefits would greatly exceed the costs thereof and after making due examination we now establish and locate the said improvement in the following described route to-wit:

Commencing at the north west corner of the south west quarter of section [lß] in township twenty eight [2B] north range six [6] west in Marion township, Jasper County, Indiana, and from thence south to the south west corner of the north west quarter of section six (6) in township twenty-seven (27) north, range six(6)west in Carpenter township,; Jasper County, Indiana. This description being the center line of said impVcfVwnent so far as the grade is concensed and the same generally known as the range line road. That the said Eroposed improvement is on a public ighway already established and worked and traveled. That the estimated length of said improvement is 20,837 feet. That the average width of said improvement as now laid out is fifty feet; That the road bed for this improvement shall be graded and improved td the width of twenty-five feet on top, twelve feet and one-half on either side of the foregoing described route for said improvement, and to be made in all respects according to the plans, specifications and profiles for same as filed with this report and as made a part hereof marked exhibit “B” to which reference is had.

Construction of road bed: The road bed shall be cleared ana constructed of earth in accordance with the grades as per said profile. See profile marked exhibit “B.” The fills shall be made from the sides or from the material taken from the cuts as far as practicable. Sewers and water-ways and bridges shall be constructed through the grade as shown on the profile and specifications of this report. The profile shows that 9 of said water ways shall be constructed of sewerpipe which shall be first class vitrified pipe. The profile shows one steel tube culvert of the capacity of thirty-six inches, aDd shall be made in all respects according to the plans and specifications for same as shown herein. This improvementshall be constructed and made of broken-lime-stone to be broken into two sizes, coarse and fine and shall be hard durable rock. The size of said rock shall be as hereinafter set out. That said broken stone shall be laid to the width of ten feet as set out and described on the profile and specifications for same to which reference is had: that the same shall be laid to the depth of seven inches of the large stone, uniformly and shall be covered with the fine stone to the depth of two inches, uniformly. We further report and establish that the broken stone shall be laid on the easterly side of the said grade from station nineteen (19) to station (80) going south, thence westerly on the westerly side of said grade to station 188 where the same intersects that portion df this improvement known as the Remington gravel road.
