The Three Miles In Jordan

Thanks to the changes in the road laws which permit several townships to join together to build a piece of road in whieh all are interested, though it is situated all in one of them, the three miles of the Range Line road between Rensselaer and Remington, situated in Jordan township, seems at last in a sure way to be made into a good and permanent road. The three miles have been a terror to travelers aloug that road for more than a generation, but never till now hah any practicable plan been ou foot to remedy them. The plan now under way joins all three townships together in building th 3 road, and all property in the three will pay an equal share i \ its costs. And divid*-d among so much property, the cost will be too small to be felt by anyone. The viewers, Thomas F. Maloney and M. J. Delahanty and the engineer Lewis S. Alter, have «one their work and done it well, and the road they recommend will be just what the situation requires. Their report will be published this week in this paper, together with the notice of the election which will be held on Februaiy 20th. So great is the need for the road and so excellent a plan have the viewers agreed upon and so easily and cheaply can it be constructed, that it scarcely seems possible that there wi 1 be any opposition to it whatever. 4
