following size: For the coarse work no stone shall be used that «ill not pass through atTour inch ring and for the top dressing no stone shall be used ihfht. will not pass though a one inch ring. _ r —.- —+■ , In constructing this improvement the contractor shall use side-boards the thickness of the broken rock to he laid, removing the same ’after the fill has been made and carrying the sane ahead. All material used in the construction of the road shall be subject to the appeticai of the engineer and supertnterrdont in charge. The fol lowing gives a description of t he speci fications for said improvement: The first column shows the number of the statiop; the second the cut; the third the till. The 3i elevation of the center line of the road; the fourth width at top of grade; the fifth the approximaU* number of cubic yards in cut; the 7 sixth the number of in the fill, the seventh the number of pubic yards of stone. For the drainage of said road there shall be constructed a tile ditch on the following described route to-wit: Coffinn neing on the west side of the proposed improvement at stake number 98 and from thence south along the said high way the jHstance (i{ twenty.four hundred feet and from thence southeasterly about one hundred and twenty feet to where it terminates in the public dredge ditch known as the Garmon Ditch where it will have a good and sufficient outlet. ■ The said tile shall be laid in all respects according to the plans and specifications for same as filed with this report marked exhibit “I) - ' to which reference is had. The said tile drain shall be constructed Of tie* following sized tile to-wit: From stake No. 98 to 197 of five inch tile and from thence to outlet of six inch tile. That the lower end of said tile shall be constructed of four feet of sewer pi f*e eight inch, the end to he protected by wire rods through the end of said sewer tile so as to protect the same from finimals and other substances. We find that no one is entitled to any damage by reason of the making of this improvement; we found no one objecting to said improvement; we report that the construction of said tile and of said improvement will be of treat public benefit and utility and that the expenses of this improvement will be less tnan the benefits and that the benefits w ill greatly exceed the cost thereof.

We further report that the estimates Of this improvements are as follows: 1. The estimate ce*st of the gradinjiof this improvement as per the plans and specifications for same will be as follows $733 00 2. The estimated cost of the culverts and bridges 150 00 3. The estimated cost of the drainage of the road 125 00 4. The estimated cost of the r<x*k work 12,629 37 5. The estimated cost as to viewers, engineer and court costs - Estimated total costs :::.'.7TT% Averajre cost per mile The estimated cost of the grading of this improvement also embraces the clearing and grubbing of same. We further raport that on examination of this improvement we find a number of telephone poles on the right of way of this improvement which will have to be removed and that the proper notice be served on the parties in time to that effect. The profile, plans and specifications for all of said work are filed herewith as hereinbefore set forth to which reference Is had and that the work shall be made in conformity therewith. That it will be of public utility to prude, drain and macadam said highway as set out iu the petition and as herein reported. We fui ttier report that this improvement is to lx* made ou the said public highway as herein described which is located' in Carpenter, Jordan and Marion Townships, Jasper County, Indiana. and that the first half mile thereof is on the boundary line of said Jordan and Marlou Townships and di) idltig same for that distance. We further older and decri*e that the contractor shall roll said grade j Indore placing the stone thereon to the I satisfaction of the engineer and superintendent in charge and that the same shall be in conformity with the grade line after so rolling; that after the grade has been rolled Uieo the said stone is to be placed thereon and the same shall be rolled to the satisfaction of the engineer and superintendent in charge of said improvement and after being rolled the mho shall conform to the plans and specifications for same. it..is coutems4atad that the large: stone shall be rolled to the satisfaction | of said officers before placing the fine | stone thereon, and again rolled after the placing of th<* said fine stone to the satisfaction of said officers.
