The country road near the west corporation line, running souths from Wm. Washburn’s residence, was named Sparling avenue, in: honor of the Sparling family, whose residence the road passes, about a half mile south of the corporation 'llUOr ■y~- - : - 7 A rate of 10 cents per kilowatt was made for lights at flic, public library. A light was ordered installed in the alley on the south side of Washington street. rs . . The matter of a flagman at the Main street crossing, west of the depot, was brought up, and the attorney ordered to confer with tfle Monon railroad authorities in regard thereto. Some 18 or 20 miscellaneous claims were passed upon and allowed.
