Death of Sylvester B. Jenkins.
Sylvester B. Jenkins, better known as Vet Jenkins, and a well known resident, died late Saturday night, or rather early Sunday morning, at his home on Rachel street, in the east part of town. Hil death was caused by Uremic poisoning, and vas quite sudden and unexpected. He had been suffering for a long time with chronio Bright’s disease of the kidneys, and resulting complications, bnt had been about much of the time and was around town Satnrday afternoon. Early in the evening e was taken worse and by 9 o’clock he had lapsed into a condition of •complete coma, from which it was impossible to arouse him and at one o’clock Snnday morning, Jan. 21, he breathed his last, without having regained consciousness, at the age of 57 years, 9 months and 21 days. 1 He formerly lived in Barkley township, bnt for quite a number of years had made his home in Rensselaer, much of the time filling the position of engineer and fireman at the coart house and jail heating station. He leaves a widow and four children and practically wholly unprovided for a means of support . The funeral was held on, Mon - day forenoon at 11 o'clock, at the U. B. oh arch at Aix, by the pastor Rev. Black mas. .Interment w*m made in Prater cemetery.
